Lytmos Group was one of 18 small businesses honored by the Missouri Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) today at its 2008 Client Showcase. Each year, this event highlights the achievements of some of the top-performing SBDC clients in Missouri and recognizes their contributions to the economic development of the state. Representative Kate Meiners and Senator Matt Bartle passed resolutions in the Missouri House and Senate recognizing Lytmos’ distinctive qualities: “an outstanding entrepreneurial company that provides valuable services to government and the private sector in the areas of high-technology research and development.” “We applaud the significant history of accomplishments garnered by Lytmos Group since its inception,” wrote Senator Bartle in the Senate resolution.
Lytmos representatives exhibited information about their products and services on the third floor of the Capitol rotunda in the morning. Afterward, Lytmos Group CEO, Peggy Shults, received the legislative resolutions and provided highlights of the Company’s growth since its founding in 2001 at the evening awards banquet.
"This showcase provides a venue to demonstrate the importance of Missouri's small businesses to the economic vitality of the state," says Steve Wyatt, director of the University of Missouri Extension's Business Development Program, who administratively oversees MO SBDC and MO PTAC.
