Corporate leadership

Peggy Shults, President and CEO, has led the Lytmos team in establishing a track record of exceptional quality customer service and in assisting clients in implementing best practices in program development, peer review, and grants management. She has spearheaded the growth of a steadily expanding network of highly qualified scientists and technical professionals to serve as peer reviewers and subject matter experts and led the development and implementation of the company's online peer review system. Prior to co-founding Lytmos in 2001, she spent several years working with small high-technology businesses as a management consultant and grant writer as they sought and managed Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards. Earlier, she gained considerable technical and managerial experience during more than a decade as an engineer and manager with AT&T and Berg Electronics, and served as a partner in a successful family business.

Since joining Lytmos in 2003, Mary Bernard, Chief Operating Officer, has played a key role in guiding the company's business development plans and growing operational capacity. In early 2004 she assumed primary responsibility for overseeing the company's delivery of peer review and grants management services. Prior to joining Lytmos, she gained more than 20 years of management and technical experience as a leader of complex operational programs in Fortune 100 companies including Sprint, AT&T, and EDS. Her background includes a diverse range of strategic planning, program management, program execution, process development, and improvement initiatives.
